The Pianos
There are two quality pianos on stage at Old Town Music Hall -- a nine-foot, 92-note Bosendorfer concert grand on stage left, and a seven-foot, Grotrian-Steinweg on stage right and often behind the WurliTzer console. The Bosendorfer was manufactured in Vienna by the finest of craftsmen and purchased new in 1974. The Bosendorfer company has been making fine pianos since 1828. The Grotrian-Steinweg was built in Germany and purchased new, in 1969 by the family of Richard Leshin (violinist L.A. Philharmonic). We obtained the piano from Mr. Leshin's family in 2009. We feel Old Town Music Hall houses three of the finest instruments made and it gives us great pleasure to share them with you during our many scheduled concerts. |
